Hi, I’m Danae (pronounced Duh-nay), she/her. I’ve been tattooing for about three years. I’m based in Seattle, WA on unceded Duwamish Land. I work at Green Tulip Tattoo Collective in Lower Queen Anne.

I’m a PNW local with roots in Seattle and Alaska. I’m most inspired by nature, symbols and myth, and folk magic. I create quarterly flash sheets with a strong seasonal narrative. My illustration and branding background informs the structure and storytelling aspects of my work.

Tattooing combines two of my favorite things: drawing and guiding folks through a transformation ritual. I believe getting tattooed invites us to feel alive and enchanted in our bodies and to have some control over our own narrative; to write the endings we want.
